I feel static shocks when I hold the treadmill

If you feel the treadmill giving off static electricity, check the following points.

  • Do you use an earthed socket?

Flow Fitness recommends that all treadmills only be used in combination with a grounded power outlet.

  • Is the treadmill on a carpet?

This creates static electricity. Place a rubber mat underneath if you have carpet.

  • Is the running belt well lubricated?

The drier the running belt gets, the more static electricity is generated. It is recommended to lubricate the sliding surface under the belt with the supplied lubricant every 1 to 2 months or after every 50 hours of usage. Check this in your manual.
